I have been a customer of Alternative Pet Services (APS) for 8+ years. All of my dawgs (past and present) are always so excited to see Duane. Along with daily visits from time to time, I use APS for vacation/holiday getaways as I have never kenneled my dawgs; they get to stay in their environment and I have no worries. I have also had the occasion for unplanned/last minute visits - no problem! Duane also leased trained my current German Shepherd so I might walk him myself as well as numerous other training tips. I had used other pet sitting services in Indy and none compare to APS!!

Duane is a top notch pet sitter, he does a great job in caring for our kitty and we have used him for at least 4 years now. I would highly recommend Duane and Alternative Pet Services. It's so nice to know that when we leave town, our baby is cared for and he will care for our home too. Takes the mail in, waters plants, sets the alarm, etc. He will always send a photo of our baby too and give an update on how she is doing while we are away. Thank you Duane for all that you do!!!

Duane has watched our furkids for years now when we are out of town or can't make it home from work in time. Our "kids" love him, even the ones that are tentative with other people. One time he even went to the northeast side to pick up one of our dogs at the vet after he had a freak accident the night before we left on vacation for a week. He has always answered our messages and has been able to extend his services on the rare occasions we couldn't make it back when originally scheduled.

Duane has been working for me about a year now. I think he's the best dog sitter and dog walker I've ever had! He's always on time, he walks my dogs in the rain, in the snow, it doesn't matter, they get their walk. He has never called and said he can't make it. He's always willing to come another day or a 2nd time during the day if I need him. He feeds them and lets them in and out when I need him to. Duane and Alternative Pet Services are the best and I would (and do!) highly recommend them.

I have had Alternative Pet Services watch my dog several times. Whether for a week long vacation or 1 to 2 day overnight trip, my dog is always well adjusted and comfortable when I return from the attention that Duane gives to him in my absence. I used have my dog stay with friends or family, but there was always an adjustment period for my dog when we returned home. Having my dog be able stay in a his own comfortable environment, with all my personal things around him, gives him more security. I don't like the idea of someone staying in my home as a housesitter when i'm gone, and I don't need to crate my dog while I'm away. Using the 3 visits a day to works best with his regular routine.

We've used Duane for about 8 years. He's the best. He loves our kids as much as we do. He's had to handle diabetic cats, epileptic dogs and many other strange issues. He's always been there for us. Duane also has gone above and beyond for us. I had a terrible accident on one of our vacations and needed to have certain equipment at the house when got back to the US. He worked with my family and had everything set for us when we got back. That was such a huge relief. I can't imagine entrusting the care of my pets and house to anyone else.
